This 5 hp commercial disposer features a totally enclosed, air-cooled motor that's designed for efficiency and long life, thanks to its built-in thermal overload protection. Capable of providing continuous operation, this disposer makes short work of food waste at the busiest of locations. Its double-tapered Timken roller bearings act as a shock absorbing cushion and the 3/4" rubber mounting above the grinding chamber prevents vibration for a quiet operation. For your convenience, the unit includes three adjustable support legs that not only stabilize the disposer but also help to fine tune the height of your disposer to fit your specific setting.

The InSinkErator SS-500-28 features a durable, corrosion-resistant stainless steel grind chamber with stationary and rotating cast nickel chrome alloy cutting elements which help ensure dependable use. For lasting sanitation, the unit's exterior is paint free, with an all stainless steel and chrome plated construction. Plus, its triple lip seal and secondary spring-loaded oil seal protect the motor from water damage for long-lasting durability.
