Condition:

This Groen Kettle is in EXCEPTIONAL condition both functionally and cosmetically. It has been fully cleaned serviced and tested and functions perfectly without any issues whatsoever. It was acquired from a local school system and has been barely used and always maintained under a service agreement. As with all used equipment there may be some minor cosmetic imperfections such as surface scratches and minor blemishes. If any exist, they are minor in nature and in no way affect the performance.

Description:

With a 40-gallon capacity, the Groen DHT- 1-40C steam-jacketed kettle is designed to support high-volume operations that cook large batches. This unit can be used for any dish that would be prepared on a stockpot range, but it is a more efficient and forgiving method. A jacket between the kettle interior and exterior holds water that is heated until it turns into steam. Unlike a fully jacketed kettle, this jacket covers the bottom two-thirds of the unit to save power and water, but it provides a less even heat. Because the jacket is filled with water at the factory, the kettle does not require a hookup to a steam generator or boiler. Operators can adjust the temperature of the unit from 150 to 295 degrees Fahrenheit on a control knob that has 10 levels.

Removing cooked food from this Groen DHT-1-40C tilting kettle is facilitated by its crank mechanism, which tilts to pour contents into a separate pan when users turn the handle. It is designed to empty product smoothly and locks into place when the user stops the crank. Resistant to denting, the rim is reinforced and has a butterfly-shaped pour lip, and the control housing is durable and water resistant. A faucet can be mounted on this kettle's bracket; a single-pantry-faucet provides either hot or cold water, while a double-pantry faucet provides both hot and cold water.
